ICCKE Announces Strategic Partnership with Al-Khaleej Training and Education to Build Skilled Talent Pool in the Middle East

New York, NY (PRWEB) April 1, 2008 -- International Consortium of Certified Knowledge Experts (ICCKE) today announced a strategic partnership with the premier professional development and training organization in the Middle East - Al-Khaleej Training and Education Corporation (Al-Khaleej).

Middle East CIOs have echoed the challenge to acquire skilled human resources and the need to invest more in the training of human resources at IDC?s Middle East CIO summit recently. The summit had highlighted the importance and need of project management skills in the region.

Middle East countries such as Saudi Arabia and UAE figure among the nine emerging markets with increased investments and marking a positive economy trend. The region?s 2007 GDP growth rate is twice that of U.S and three times that of Western Europe. There is a significant growth in opportunities and a dearth for skilled local talent.

Fahad Al-Harbi, Vice President, Development reiterated the vision Al-Khaleej group has been nurturing since 1993 to build world class competencies while staying committed to local community development. ?I believe partnering with ICCKE will bring great value in benchmarking and assessing professional competencies in key management areas.? He highlighted learning as a life long process and said ?It is our constant endeavor to bring best practices worldwide to the Middle East region and enrich the talent pool through objective independent assessments that are of international standards.?

Appreciating Al-Khaleej?s achievements in fostering training and development, Sangeetha Thomas, Director, Learning and Skills, emphasized the need to build training on practical skills that can be readily used at workplaces. She encouraged training as a way for people to share and learn from others. ?People skills form the common denominator across job roles and industries? she said.

Advocating ICCKE?s ?learning-by-doing? approach, she said ?Learning must be facilitated in environments that learners can relate to in their everyday work life.? ICCKE encourages learning through a combination of lectures, role plays, simulated activities and assignments targeted at greater knowledge assimilation. ?We don?t work in isolation or with machines alone, so why should learning be so??

Jacob Thomas, President, ICCKE applauded the partnership as a strategic move towards strengthening relationships with enterprises in the Middle East through ICCKE?s competency assurance programs. ?We are excited about partnering with Al-Khaleej, who is the undisputed leader in facilitating professional development in the Middle East region through their robust network of development centers and vast pool of committed and experienced trainers.? The partnership confers Al-Khaleej the master rights to promote ICCKE programs in the Middle East region.
